Warm up those vocal chords – it’s time to get psycho with Disturbed. The nu metal band adds three more tracks to the six already in Rock Band, starting with “Meaning of Life.” The tracks come from the forthcoming remastered 10th anniversary edition of 2000’s The Sickness. The Sickness was Disturbed’s first album, and it was a pivotal one in my teenage CD collection. After years of listening to things teen girls listen to, I came across Disturbed playing on a side stage at a local rock festival. They were given twenty minutes, and that’s all it took for me to become a fan. The band had great energy and a powerful stage presence and I knew I had to own their CD.
I spent my birthday last year seeing them play in Lowell, MA where they opened with “Voices,” another track from this week’s pack. Even after ten years, they still have the same energy and ability to captivate the crowd. Closing out our pack is another classic track from The Sickness, “The Game.”

According to The Pulse of Radio, DISTURBED has hit the studio in its hometown of Chicago to begin recording its fifth album, with a tentative summer release date planned. The group has not yet announced a title for the project, which will follow up 2008’s “Indestructible”. Guitarist Dan Donegan told The Pulse of Radio that DISTURBED had 15 to 18 songs ready to go, adding that the band doesn’t like to waste time once it gets started. “I mean, we definitely go in there very prepared,” he said. “We never enter the studio unless we feel like, right now, if these are the songs we record, that we would have an album that we’re proud of and we’re excited about. And we put everything under the microscope and examine it the best we can to make sure that we’re prepared. We don’t like going in there wasting time. We go in there to work, and to try to make the best album we can.”
Meanwhile, the band has set March 23 as the release date for the 10th anniversary edition of its debut album, “The Sickness”. The set, which will also be available on vinyl, will feature B-sides, new artwork, and exclusive online content.
Around the same time, the group will re-launch its website with a special section, accessible only by a code included with new copies of “The Sickness”, that will feature clips of the quartet in the studio recording their new album.
Disturbed’s 10th Anniversary edition of ‘The Sickness‘ is set to hit stores on March 23rd.
The release will feature b-sides, new artwork, exclusive online content and will be available on vinyl.
Details will be confirmed in the coming weeks.

Disturbed will head to the studio this month to start work on their follow-up to 2008’s platinum-selling Indestructible.
Guitarist Dan Donegan spoke with The Pulse of Radio about the so-far-untitled new record, saying “I think at this point we’re probably somewhere between 15 to 18 songs, with the exception of [frontman] David [Draiman] having to finalize, you know, a few more lyrics to some of the songs. But, you know, we’re ready to go. You know, we’re excited about new songs, and to get in there and kind of lay down these ideas.”
Disturbed are planning on putting out the album this summer, but in the meantime the band’s fans can tide themselves over with a 10th-anniversary reissue of The Sickness, which is slated for a March release. And then later in 2010, presumably after the new album, the much-discussed Decade of Disturbed DVD will be coming out, which is expected to be an overview of the band’s career to this point.
Disturbed’s “The Sickness” 10th anniversary edition (with tons of bonus material) will be out Mar 23. They’ve begun work on their next album in Chicago and will record in Johnny K’s brand new studios. The band is self-producing…..
Disturbed To Play The Chip August 13, 2010
You know how bands that have a blockbuster first album and then knock out an album a year thereafter, none of which are as good as the first? Disturbed hasn’t done that. It took them two years to release “Believe” after their 2000 release of their debut album, “The Sickness.” Then it was three more years before their third CD, “Ten Thousand Fists” was released and three more before “Indestructible” hit the airwaves.
These guys care about their fans and they care about their music. That’s why their albums consistently go Platinum. And that is why Disturbed will be playing Friday, Aug. 13 at the Legendary Buffalo Chip during the annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally.
This is a hard rock band known for their passion for the genre and for their fans. Their live performances are hard rock experiences – “happenings” if you grew up in the 1960s. And the bikers who are hard rock fans from the 1960s, ‘70s, ‘80s and ‘90s understand the musicianship and quality Disturbed delivers in every performance.
“Every hard rock fan in the country will appreciate Disturb’s outrageous stage performance,” said Rod Woodruff. “The combination of a Buffalo Chip audience of biker music fans and Disturb’s unique hard rock biker music are going to make for a memorable night at the Sturgis party.”

The Pulse of Radio reports that DISTURBED is getting ready to record its fifth studio album in Chicago, with producer Johnny K. working with the band again after not being involved with 2008’s million-selling effort, “Indestructible”. Guitarist Dan Donegan told The Pulse of Radio that the group has already done a lot of preparation for the new record. “We’re ready to hit the studio next month,” he said. “I think at this point we’re probably somewhere between 15 to 18 songs, with the exception of David (Draiman, singer) having to finalize, you know, a few more lyrics to some of the songs. But, you know, we’re ready to go. You know, we’re excited about new songs, and to get in there and kind of lay down these ideas.”
The new DISTURBED album is due out by summer 2010.

Jan. 12, 2010
In March 2010, Chicago heavy rockers DISTURBED will celebrate the 10-year anniversary of the release of their quadruple-platinum-selling debut album “The Sickness” by reissuing it with exclusive b-sides and expanded artwork, as well as a first-time-ever vinyl edition. Also in March, DISTURBED will relaunch their official web site with a special section, accessible by a code included with “The Sickness” reissue, that will contain exclusive clips, updated weekly, of the band recording their upcoming new album, due for release from Reprise Records later this year. There will also be a special DOD section that will be available for everyone.
Released on March 7, 2000, “The Sickness” is DISTURBED’s best-selling album to date, thanks to such hit singles as “Stupify”, “Voices” and “Down With the Sickness”, which is the seventh most downloaded track of the ’00s, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
DISTURBED’s long-awaited DVD, which is believed to have a working title of “Decade Of Disturbed”, is due later this year.
DISTURBED took out its biggest stage production in years on last spring’s Music As A Weapon tour, which made the show ripe for documenting on a DVD. Vocalist David Draiman told The Pulse of Radio at the time, “We already have a bunch of footage that’s been amassed, and we’re trying to do a full-blown production shoot of one or more of these actual live performances. And there is definitely plans for a DVD in the works. I don’t know necessarily that it will be specifically a ‘Music As A Weapon’ DVD. I think that it’s going to be more of a ‘Decade Of Disturbed’, so to speak.” Read More

We look forward to a relationship that has already proven to be easy.” – Marc LaCorte, Vice President of Schecter.

Lead guitarist for rock band Disturbed, Dan Donegan balances rock star life with family
by Bill Jones
December 21, 2009
Homer Glen dad by day, Dan Donegan makes his living as a rock star at night.
He’s the lead guitarist for the hard-hitting band Disturbed, which you may have heard on the air waves of Q101.1 FM over the past decade, slashing out hits like “Down with the Sickness,” “Stupify” and most recently “Inside the Fire.”
As part of Disturbed, Donegan and his bandmates have sold more than 11 million albums worldwide since hitting the scene with “The Sickness” in 2000. That album has since gone quadruple platinum. All three of the band’s following albums with Reprise Records have peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard charts, and have all gone Platinum in the United States.
With the accolades — not the mention the money — that come with such successes in the music industry, many musicians might have taken off for the likes of Los Angeles, where labels like Reprise are located and the climates are warmer. But when Donegan, a father of two, is not living out of a tour bus, he still relaxes with his family in Homer Glen.
“This is home to me,” Donegan said of Homer Glen. Read More
